Easter Sunday

Being a Full Time Mom is difficult....

It’s even more difficult if you work Retail, like I do.  I long for the days I can spend with my kids without interruptions of my work life.  None the less I make the best of it.  So, when I can make a holiday fun or extra special, I (no matter of its just the two of us).  I have a side hustle, a party planning company as well, as if I’m not busy enough.

Easter is my second favorite holiday after Christmas.  This year we were lucky enough to have my husband’s sisters, our brother in law and our only niece come to visit us.  Since we don't have visitors come very often (we live far away from our families).  I had a party last year and had lots of whimsical items from that party the only I purchased (just because I want to buy new things) was the dipping, salad, dinner plates and serving plates (Williams Sonoma).  The kid’s plates, cups, napkins, napkin ring are all from pottery barn kids.

I always set the table first for some reason it gives me inspiration for the rest.  Make sure to cover it after with painter’s plastic or something lightweight so that nothing gets on the table while your visitors arrive.  Then I moved to the picture area and kids table.  It takes quite some time to put it all together but once you have a vision it goes quickly.

It turned out to be a warm day and the kids had so much fun.  The highlight of the day was when our niece pulled the cake down.  All in all, it was a fun day filled with silliness and laughter.

Enjoy
